My response to this week’s theme follows a somewhat scattershot approach, with some old pictures taken during our travels.
The scene below is typically American, and something you may come across when you are traveling on the road and exit a highway onto a street on which most of the business is related to the needs of the traveler. The lit-up names on the signboards are typically American. The following picture was taken during another vacation trip. I wonder if a store can be successful with such a name.
The next two pictures were taken during a trip to West Africa many years ago. This is a name that inspired people in different parts of the world.
The name on the boat below is that of a politician in Senegal. The picture was taken at Lac Rose.
I came across the following name during a trip to India. I now know that this organization is in no way related to the Roman Catholic Church.
This last one is just for fun. This is the name that caught my eye as I was passing the gate.
It was only after I had taken a few pictures and moved further that I realized that what I was looking at was this. There is a big difference!
Nice shots this week!
